Why I'm glad to be her mommy!

So the other day started out like almost any other. Belle and I woke up, had breakfast, let it settle in our tummys for a bit and proceeded to go on a walk. If you don't live down here in San Antonio, its REALLY starting to get HOT! At 7pm tonight it was 97. And I'm supposed to go through this pregnant? Really? After we get home after the two mile walk in the blazing sun, I am, as you can imagine, rather smelly. So the only thing that seems to work when naps aren't happening so much anymore is to turn a movie on the computer for Belle so I can take longer than 2 minutes. After I shower and get dressed I come out to check on her. She informs me that is watching "Rella" (Cinderella) and tells me "Wovey SO much!" (wovey= love you) It made my heart melt! I had to cuddle with her for the rest of the movie because I wovey her so much!
Do you have moments when you realize that really, being a mommy is the best thing in the whole world? This was defiantly one for me!

Funny story

So a few nights ago Belle and I were eating some french fries for dinner and she had ketchup on her plate. She pointed to it and asked:
   Shishy? (fishy)
Is there a fishy in your ketchup?
No... Rove rove? (sound doggies make)
Is there a doggie in your ketchup?
No... Kare? (My friend Kara)
Is Kara in there?
 No... Pinty? (Her son Timmy)
Is timmy in there?
No... Tintin? (Tanner)
Is tanner in your ketchup?
No... Doug?
Is Doug in you ketchup?
No...

This proceeded a few more times, going through the whole Charlton Family and asking if they were in her ketchup!! She knows that nothing was really in there, but it was so funny to watch/listen to her ask! Its moments like that where its so easy to be her mom!
Do you have any funny stories like that?

It's A....BABY!

So, we had our ultrasound on Monday, and even though I think the three people who look at this already know, but we are in fact having a GIRL!! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! Yes, that is what I wanted! Sorry for the lack of pictures, but we went to a really crappy place and they gave us one picture and I don't remember how to use my scanner... sad I know! But oh well!

Any Ideas for good names? :-)

Happy Birthday to ME!!

So, today is my birthday (technically yesterday now) . I am now the ripe ole age of 25!  It was a good day, nothing too spectacular, but I'm glad to be here. I really feel now like I am an adult. It took me almost 4 years of marriage, graduating from collage, buying a house, and having a child and a half to get here, but I'm glad... thats at least what I say now! I hope it lasts through tomorrow! :)

Just two of my favorite little me pictures!!!

Sounds like fun!

The first five people to comment on this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year (hopefully sooner than later.)
4. You will have no clue what it is going to be.
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me you did will win a marvelous homemade gift by me!

Let the games begin!!

'Bout time!!!

Ok, ok, I know I have been slacking on my blogging duties. It has been a little crazy around here over the past few weeks or so. We found out in January that baby #2 will be joining our little family in September. My EDD is the 13ish, so that means that I am almost 13 weeks along. We still haven't heard the heartbeat yet, but I was only 10 weeks at the time, so the baby must have just been too small still. We should be finding out who it is in April. I can't wait!
Just wanted to let everyone know! Oh, and yes, the cravings are INSANE!! But that's a whole other post!

My Fancy Nancy

fancy-nancy.gif

When Annabelle was born, her aunt Megan sent her this Fancy Nancy book. Even though she was much too little to completely understand the books, I felt it necessary to read them to her. My in-laws have always talked about her becoming a basketball player (yuk! Boys can play, but not my little girl!) ever since we found out she was a girl. You can see why I had to indoctrinate her at a very young age. You can see its working! HAHA!

sorry, just had to be excited that my Girl is acting like one!  She can like to watch sports with her daddy, i don't care about that, just so long as she wears  hair bows with her jersey!
